Tao of the Day

Tao of the Day

Your Daily Dose of Taoism

4. The Tao is so vast…

The Tao is so vast that when you use it, something is always left.
How deep it is!
It seems to be the ancestor of the myriad things.
It blunts sharpness
Untangles knots
Softens the glare
Unifies with the mundane.
It is so full!
It seems to have remainder.

It is the child of I-don’t-know-who.
And prior to the primeval Lord-on-high.

It blunts sharpness………………the tongue, pain, anger
    Untangles knots………………….Problems, bewilderment,despondency
    Softens the glare…………………blinded,poor interaction, admonishment
Unifies with the mundane…….all things are important, yet not important
It is so full!…………………………speaks for itself
It seems to have remainder……There is always more
    My take on it!

Additional Info

Tao of the Day is a site for all things related to the Tao (also spelled Dao). We'll cover the entire Tao Te Ching several times each year, with one chapter being the center of attention each day. You can always comment on past days, but let's try to keep it flowing as the days progress.
