Tao of the Day

Tao of the Day

Your Daily Dose of Taoism

1. The Tao that can be followed is not the eternal Tao.

The Tao that can be followed is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the origin of heaven and earth
While naming is the origin of the myriad things.
Therefore, always desireless, you see the mystery
Ever desiring , you see the manifestations.
These two are the same–
When they appear they are named differently.

This sameness is the mystery,
Mystery within mystery;

The door to all marvels.

    I like it.
    The environment is not cluttered.
    A good site for contemplation!
    Thanks.

    Cool.

I was debating between a “Daily News” look or a more “Eastern” theme.

I guess we’ll have to see what it looks like with a few day’s posts on it.

Additional Info

Tao of the Day is a site for all things related to the Tao (also spelled Dao). We'll cover the entire Tao Te Ching several times each year, with one chapter being the center of attention each day. You can always comment on past days, but let's try to keep it flowing as the days progress.
